About Silver Falls

About Silver Falls Conference Center

There are four lodges with six guest rooms, each with two twin beds. You will be sharing a room with one other person. Please contact Judi Gardiner at if you have a roommate preference. The lodges have a large lounge with sofas and overstuffed chairs and a wood stove–a great place for faculty roundtable groups, peer critique groups, relaxing and socializing. There are two shared bathrooms with showers. Linens, towels and housekeeping services are provided, but you may wish to bring an extra blanket, pillow and fluffy towel. Alder Lodge is fully accessible and ADA compliant, so let us know if that lodge is the best choice for you by selecting the handicapped accessible lodging when you register.

You may pick up your room key between 3:00 and 4:00 at Smith Creek Hall. Roads to Silver Falls are dark and curvy, so we recommend you arrive on time. Please let us know if you are going to be late.

We will be using Smith Creek Hall for most of the event. Wi-Fi is enabled in the meeting hall and cabin lounges. Cell phone service is available through AT&T. The emergency number for Silver Falls is 866-575-8875.

Meals all take place in the Big Leaf Dining Hall and are served cafeteria style. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions when you register. The dining hall is Wi-Fi enabled. Oregon craft beers and wines may be purchased in the dining hall. You may BYOB, but the management asks that you confine it to the lodges. For safety reasons, coffee makers, hotplates, and other cooking and heating devices are not permitted in the lodges.

There are 25 miles of hiking trails at Silver Falls. We suggest you hike with a friend for safety reasons.
