The theme for this year is On the Creative Garden Path. We have fantastic speakers and a fantastic location. The fall colors should be great in midOctober making it a wonderful place to learn and work. We think this will be a retreat to remember and look forward to you joining us!

SCHEDULE – updated 9/12/14

2014 Retreat SCHEDULE.docx or 2014 Retreat SCHEDULE.pdf

Can't come for the whole retreat? What about Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon? You can hear Ariel Richardson, Danielle Smith; participate in The Line Up and/or The Round Table Critque with faculty; share at Open Mic, attend the party on Saturday; and stay to write Sunday afternoon. See the schedule above for complete details.  Cost for this is $250 for members and $275 for nonmembers.

We've added some new ones this year–The Line Up on Saturday, Roundtable Faculty Group Critiques, and the option to stay longer on Sunday to work. Plus, we kept the old favorites such as the Mini Book Launch on Friday morning, Illustrators' Showcase on Saturday, Optional Critique Groups by Genre and Open Mic on Friday and Saturday, Illustrator Portfolio Display, and, of course, One-on-One Consultations for Manuscript Critique (CLOSED) or Portfolio Review.

More info here.

Note: We are not offering any illustrator talks as we figure illustrators are probably attending the joint Western Washington/Oregon Illustrator Retreat.

We think you'll really enjoy our 2014 retreat location–Oregon Gardens Resort in Silverton, OR.  All housing is hotel style with only 2 people to a room with 2 queen beds. You'll have your own private bath, a private garden patio or deck, a desk and a fireplace. Oh, and there's a minifridge and a microwave. Internet is free in your rooms–bring a standard CAT-5e cable.

Oregon Garden Resort LodgeAlso, you may park at your individual lodge and drive to the main lodge for sessions.

Plus, you'll receive a ticket to ride the Oregon Garden tram and your room key will let you into the gardens at any time during the day. Gardens will be open 10:00am – 4:00pm.
