The theme for this year is Turning a New Leaf. We will have fantastic speakers in a fantastic location. The fall colors should be great in mid October, making this a wonderful place to learn and work. If you couldn’t make it last year, don’t miss out this year! We know this will be a retreat to remember and look forward to you joining us.

SCHEDULE – 2015 Retreat SCHEDULE.doc or 2015 Retreat SCHEDULE.pdf

We will continue to have The Line Up on Saturday, Roundtable Faculty Group Critiques, and the option to stay longer on Sunday to work. Plus, we will keep the old favorites such as the Mini Book Launch on Friday morning, Illustrators' Showcase on Saturday, Optional Critique Groups by Genre and Open Mic on Friday and Saturday, Illustrator Portfolio Display, and One-on-One Consultations for Manuscript Critiques and Portfolio Critiques. New this year: a Nonfiction discussion group on Friday.

Note: We are not offering any illustrator talks as we figure illustrators are probably attending the joint Oregon/Western Washington Illustrator Retreat.

Last year everyone really enjoOregon Garden Resort Lodgeyed our new retreat location–Oregon Gardens Resort in Silverton, OR. We had a larger meeting room that made it possible for our lunch and dinner buffets to be set up in the same room.

All housing is hotel style with only 2 people to a room with 2 queen beds. You'll have your own private bath, a private garden patio or deck, a desk and a fireplace. Oh, and there's a minifridge and a microwave. Internet is free in your rooms–bring a standard CAT-5e cable.

Also, you may park at your individual lodge and drive to the main lodge for sessions.

Plus, you'll receive a ticket to ride the Oregon Garden tram and your room key will let you into the gardens at any time during the day. Gardens will be open 10:00am – 4:00pm.
