MAY TOPIC: Poetry, Prose, Verse

The central Oregon meetings of SCBWI rotate between the Redmond, Sisters, and Bend locations of the Deschutes Public Library (skipping January, July). Dates seasonally change from first Wednesdays to first Saturdays. The Write Direction meetings include sharing news, a discussion topic or book club readings, and gentle critiques. An annual special event is the Next Level workshop. August will feature a central Oregon independent bookstore gathering. Library meetings are from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Writers and illustrators in the field of children’s literature are welcome. To share your writing/art for a critique, bring 1-2 pages of writing for children in 12 pt. Times New Roman, double-spaced, and 1.25-inch margins with 3-4 copies for readers and/or art work.
