Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
The Nights of the Round Table approacheth!
SCBWI Oregon is offering three different nights of revision and round tables. We’ll start with a short talk on revision, then move on to the critiques, guaranteed to be with a regional PAL faculty member. And we are bringing this fabulous event TO YOU. Using the magic of technology we are offering a different category each night – illustrations, novels, and picture books – through Zoom, an online video conferencing tool. That means you can get feedback on your work from the comfort of your own home.
And as a special gift to you, our members, this event is FREE! That’s right, this event is absolutely free to our SCBWI members*. But space is limited, so be sure to register early. Member registration opens September 17th. You must register by October 27 , 2019.

Manuscripts will be assigned by the regional team to a table and faculty. Your manuscript must be in standard format with your last name included in the file name. (e.g Smith-Slug-Story.doc or .docx) Email your pages to oregon@scbwi.org as an attachment, after you register. See due dates above.
Illustrations. You may send 5 jpegs portfolio prints or the first 5 jpegs from a dummy. Each image should be no larger than 500k. Please include your last name in each file name. (e.g. Jones-print1.jpg or .jpeg) Email images to Kara Frost at kfrostbooks@gmail.com, after you register. Due date above.
WEBINAR ACCESS
Instructions on how to access the Zoom conferencing tool will be sent to you along with your faculty member in an email at least a week before your Night of the Round Table. We recommend having a high speed internet connection that night–if you don’t have it at home, you can use a local library or coffee shop. You will be video conferencing so we recommend a quiet room or headphones in a public place.
On your Night, you will go to the link provided to join the group for a short webinar by one of our faculty. When the presentation is over you will follow a second link to join your “table” for the critiques. At this point you will be able to interact with your group, just like at a live round table event.
