Looking to polish your craft skills, build a Twitter following, or hone your professional edge? This year, SCBWI Oregon is offering free seminars for children’s book writers and illustrators with our new The Next Level Professional Series.

Join us on the third Saturday of each month at Tabor Space on 5441 SE Belmont, and learn how to take your work to The Next Level. Doors open at 2:00 pm, and speakers start at 2:30. The first session launched in September and the series continues through April, 2014—but each talk is different, so don’t miss out!

KiersiBurkhartKiersi Burkhart is an author of middle-grade and young adult books, and a freelance copywriter. With a background in web design, development, and IT support, she embraces technology to make the writing process easier–but she still uses a typewriter sometimes. She lives in Portland with three pet frogs, one cat, and a snail.
