Scholarships

treeWe know the conferences and retreats are expensive, so SCBWI Oregon offers a number of scholarships each year. They are open to writer, illustrator, or writer/illustrator members of SCBWI who resides in Oregon or Clark County Washington only.

Funding for past scholarships was made possible by a donation in memory of Dolores Barnes (Barb Herkert’s mom), a teacher for over 30 years who believed in the power of books to change children’s lives.

2018 Scholarships Are Available for the Following Events:

Spring Conference—May 19-20, 2018

Fall Retreat—September 20-23, 2018
Amount: $200.
Due to our fundraiser auction at the conference, we are able to offer several larger scholarships this year.
